In January 2017 Bishop John issued a revised set of proposals - the Final Proposals - for the restructuring of the parishes in the Diocese. In this document, the proposal for St. Bernard's is significantly different from that in the original proposal document. There was a parish meeting to discuss the new proposals in the Parish Hall at 7pm on February 9th. A report of the meeting was sent to the Bishop, who replied using a Pastoral Letter dated March 23rd. Further information on timing was included in the Bishop's April Pastoral Letter.
Before that, in July 2016 Bishop John issued a set of proposals for the restructuring of parishes in the Diocese. This document was sent to all parishes for a three month consultation period.

Bishop John has launched the Reports: there are three elements:
- A Pastoral Letter, to be read on the weekend of 22 November 2015,
- a full report on the consultation, and
- a summary document
