Lord God we remember your Son Jesus declaring “Come to me, all you who labour and are overburdened, and I will give you rest.” In these times of uncertainty and challenge we bring our prayers with hope and confidence in your eternal love.

We pray that Pope Francis will continue to inspire the Church in championing the needs of the vulnerable and marginalised people of our world. May his prayer and example touch the heart of those who have the power and courage to make a difference. Lord hear us

We pray for the homeless in our city and especially those working to solve the problems they face. May resources be found to support projects that will be life enhancing and provide lasting solutions for these vulnerable members of our society. Lord hear us

We pray that leaders will work hard to protect the world against the effects of climate change. As they work together to protect the environment may they develop greater understanding and work peacefully together in the future. Lord hear us

We remember all medical staff and those caring for the sick, that they will continue to carry out their special mission with professionalism, kindness and compassion. May the sanctity of life be at the heart of their work. Lord hear us

We pray for the children making their First Holy Communion today, that they will always know the presence of Jesus in their lives. Lord hear us

Let us pause for a moment in silence as we bring to the Lord our personal prayers and intentions……………….. Lord hear us

We ask Mary our mother to watch over and guide us as we pray; Hail Mary………………………………
