Bidding Prayers: 15th Sunday in Ordinary Time, 16th July 2023

CELEBRANT

Let us bring before our Heavenly Father, whose love for us is beyond our understanding, all our prayers and the needs of the world.

READER

We pray for Pope Francis and all religious leaders. Help them to sow the word of God in all their words and actions and set a good example to the people they serve. May we be inspired to live better lives. Lord hear us

We pray for farmers and growers who face difficulty and uncertainty because of climate change and rising costs to their businesses. May they have the faith and encouragement they require to continue to supply the food that we need to keep healthy and strong. Lord hear us

We pray for catechists and teachers. As they sow the seeds of learning may they encourage the love of learning and greater understanding of God. Help them specially to support children who find school challenging and difficult assisting them to reach their full potential. Lord hear us

On this feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel we pray for the people and priests of our Diocese of Salford and especially for Bishop John who today celebrates his 40th anniversary of ordination to the priesthood. In the Spirit of the Synod may we continue plan and prepare for the future. Lord hear us

Let us pause for a moment in silence as we bring to the Lord our personal prayers and those presented today in our Parish Book of Intentions………. Lord hear us

We entrust to Mary, Star of the Sea, the well- being of all seafarers, the commitment and dedication of chaplains and volunteers and entreat our mother to continue to watch over and protect us as we pray; Hail Mary………………

Heavenly Father, who sent your Son Jesus Christ to bring your message of salvation to the whole world and to be our guiding spirit. We offer these prayers in his name, who lives and reigns for ever and ever. Amen
