Bidding prayers: 17th Sunday in Ordinary time, 26th July 2020

CELEBRANT

Heavenly Father, Jesus your son said to us, “Ask and it will be given you, search and you will find, knock and the door will be opened to you.” We bring our needs before you confident that you love and care for us.

READER

For the Church, the people of God: that each of us may accept our mission to spread the Gospel and reach out to those who need our help and support. We ask for God’s blessing to live life to the full in peace, harmony and mutual understanding. Lord hear us

We pray for our world as the effects of climate change are experienced by people of every nation. May we take seriously the need to care for our environment and support initiatives to reuse, reduce and recycle. Lord hear us

We pray for those who feel lonely and isolated from society at this time, especially those with health conditions that have required shielding throughout the pandemic. Help us to recognise and respond to the vulnerable in our neighbourhood. Lord hear us

Let us pray for families as many prepare for holidays. May their love for each other grow through their increased time together and may it be a time of rest and a source of happy memories. Help them to remain safe and protected. Lord hear us

Let us pause for a moment in silence as we bring to the Lord our personal prayers and those presented today in our parish book of intentions…………….. Lord hear us

We ask Mary our blessed Mother to watch over and guide us as we pray; Hail Mary……………………..
