Bidding Prayers: 18th Sunday in Ordinary Time, 2nd August 2020

CELEBRANT

Lord our God your son Jesus nourished the hungry and we too are hungry for your presence in our lives. Knowing your unlimited love for each one of us, we bring before you ourselves and our loved ones.

READER

Pope Francis prayed that, “The presence of the Risen Lord in His Word and through the celebration of the Eucharist will give us the strength we need to resolve the difficulties and challenges that we will face after the coronavirus crisis.” We pray that he and all Church leaders will continue to inspire hope and courage. Lord in your mercy

We pray for peace in our world: may our diversity be a cause for celebration and unity not division and hate. Lord in your mercy

We pray for a deeper love and reverence for the presence of Christ among us in the Eucharist. May our community be a celebration of the love and compassion of Christ. Lord in your mercy

We remember all those who are currently facing uncertainty in their future employment. Help them to find greater security and support with their emotional and domestic needs. Lord in your mercy

Let us pause for a moment in silence as we bring to the Lord our personal prayers and intentions…………………………. Lord in your mercy

We ask our blessed Mother Mary to watch over and guide us as we pray; Hail Mary……

CELEBRANT

Loving God, we have received many good things from you, open our eyes and our hearts to the needs of those around us who suffer from any kind of loneliness and neglect. We make our prayers through Christ our Lord. Amen
