Bidding Prayers: 19th Sunday in Ordinary Time, 7th August 2022

CELEBRANT

Let us bring with confidence all our hopes and prayers to the Lord who always holds us in his love and care.

READER

We pray for our Holy Father Pope Francis that he may be strengthened by the Holy Spirit to proclaim to all peoples the joy of the Gospel. Lord in your mercy

We remember the people of Ukraine, Yemen, Myanmar, Somalia and other areas of conflict in our troubled world. May their human rights be respected and upheld as they fight for dignity and freedom. Lord in your mercy

We pray for all those who suffer from hunger as a result of poor harvests and climate change. May they be supported to feed their families and find ways to secure a better quality of life. We remember especially those who work for CAFOD and other aid agencies, may they be blessed in all their work. Lord in your mercy

In our own community we pray for those that are struggling to provide for their families. May they find solutions to their difficulties and receive the support and help they need. We remember those working in our local foodbank. May we continue to be generous with our donations and prayers. Lord in your mercy

Let us pause for a moment in silence as we bring to the Lord our personal prayers and intentions……………… Lord in your mercy

We ask Mary our mother to watch over and guide us as we pray; Hail Mary…………………………….
