Bidding Prayers: 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time, 4th October 2020

CELEBRANT

Our lives are a journey into understanding God’s love. Let us ask the Lord to bless us and hear our prayers.

READER

Let us pray for Pope Francis that he may be a source of courage and steadfastness to us all and inspire our faith development and understanding of God. Lord hear us

We pray for all our brothers and sisters around the world that God our Father might increase our courage and strength to work for an end to poverty and injustice and deepen our commitment so that the fruits of the harvest may be more fairly shared. Lord hear us

We pray for all NHS workers. As hospitals and GP surgeries struggle to cope with the many challenges presented at this time, we pray that health workers will be restored and renewed by the Holy Spirit. Lord hear us

We pray for all families: may their homes be places of peace and harmony. Help them to grow in love of you and each other every day of their lives. May their relationships be strengthened by the gifts of patience and compromise. Lord hear us

Let us pause for a moment in silence as we bring to the Lord our personal prayers and intentions………………………. Lord hear us

We ask our Blessed Lady, Queen of the Holy Rosary to watch over and guide us as we pray; Hail Mary……………………………

CELEBRANT

God our Father, we place our prayers before you, confident that you will answer them especially when like the apostles, we beg you to increase our faith. We make this prayer through our Lord. Amen
