Bidding prayers: 29th Sunday in Ordinary Time, 17th October 2021

CELEBRANT

Each day we are faced with choices, to respond to our own wants and desires or to the needs of others. As members of a community of faith, let us ask the Lord to help us to follow in his way of self-sacrifice and humble service.

READER

We pray for governments around the world that they may always seek the ways of justice and mercy and be enabled by God’s powerful protection to lead their countries with honesty and integrity. Lord hear us

We pray for ourselves and for all that we know and love, that God our Father may guide our thoughts, words and actions at every moment of our lives especially when we feel challenged and uncertain in our daily work and relationships with our family and friends. Lord hear us

Let us pause for a moment in silence as we bring to the Lord our personal prayers and intentions…… Lord hear us

In this month of the Holy Rosary, we ask Mary our mother to watch over, guide and protect us as we pray; Hail Mary……………………………….

CELEBRANT

Heavenly Father, watch over, protect and bless us as we live out your message of love and compassion: may we be messengers of your love and hope. We make our prayers through Christ our Lord. Amen
