Bidding Prayers: 33rd Sunday in Ordinary Time, 15th November 2020

CELEBRANT

We come to you Lord God with our prayers, confident of your love and knowing you care for each of us.

READER

We pray for our Holy Father Pope Francis and all the clergy who lead the Church through troubled times. May they lead with insight, wisdom and compassion, bringing hope to those who feel vulnerable and afraid of the future. Lord in your mercy

We pray for those who exploit the poor, those who create the social structures that cause poverty and the homeless. May they see the poor as brothers and sisters, children of God. Lord in your mercy

We pray for all those involved in the fight against Covid and give thanks for the scientists who have made amazing breakthroughs with vaccine research. May their discoveries benefit people across the world bringing hope and security for the future. Lord in your mercy

During this month dedicated to the Holy Souls we remember our loved ones and friends. We also pray for everyone suffering the pain of bereavement. May they be comforted by God’s healing presence and those who have died enjoy the fullness of eternal life. Lord in your mercy

Let us pause for a moment in silence as we bring to the Lord our personal prayers and intentions……….. Lord in your mercy

We ask Mary our Mother to watch over and guide us as we pray; Hail Mary……………………..

CELEBRANT

We thank you Father for your many gifts. Give us the courage and generosity to put them at the service of all our brothers and sisters. We make this prayer through Christ our Lord. Amen
