Bidding Prayers: 4th Sunday in Ordinary Time, 28th January 2024

CELEBRANT

Heavenly Father be with us as we offer you our prayers and ask you to make us instruments of your peace in our troubled world.

READER

We pray for Pope Francis that he may inspire peace and reconciliation to those places across the world where there is conflict and bloodshed. Grant him wisdom, diplomacy and courage to condemn acts of violence and injustice. Lord hear us

We pray for peace makers in the many and varied areas of disagreement across the world and in our own community. May their efforts inspire harmony, understanding and a willingness to show greater compassion. Lord hear us

We pray for the continued success of CARITAS as it supports the homeless, alleviates poverty, welcomes strangers and provides help for vulnerable young families. Lord hear us

May we always understand the power of our words both written and spoken. Help us to use communication in positive ways and have the conviction to speak out against unfairness and prejudice in our homes and places of work. Lord hear us

Let us pause for a moment in silence as we bring to the Lord our personal prayers and those presented today in our Parish Book of Intentions…….. Lord hear us

We ask Mary our mother to watch over and guide us as we pray;
Hail Mary…………………..

CELEBRANT

Heavenly Father, hear our prayers, may what we ask in faith and hope be granted to us through the love of Christ our Lord who lives and reigns for ever and ever Amen
