Bidding Prayers: 4th Sunday in Ordinary Time, 30th January 2022

CELEBRANT

Heavenly Father be with us as we offer you our prayers and ask you to make us instruments of your peace in our troubled world.

READER

We pray for Pope Francis and all his bishops that their preaching will inspire a love of learning, a desire to increase our understanding of the faith and to recognise God’s wisdom in their words. Lord hear us

We pray for the continued success of Caritas as it supports the homeless, alleviates poverty, welcomes the stranger and provides help for vulnerable young families. May we respond generously to their appeal today especially with our prayers. Lord hear us

We pray for the stability and security of the people of Ukraine. May a peaceful resolution be found and every effort made to listen and make wise decisions for the future well-being of the people. Lord hear us

May we always understand the power of our words both written and spoken. Help us to use communication in positive ways and have the conviction to speak out against injustice and prejudice in our homes and places of work. Lord hear us

Let us pause for a moment in silence as we bring to the Lord our personal prayers and intentions…… Lord hear us

We ask Mary our mother to watch over and guide us as we pray; Hail Mary…………

CELEBRANT

Heavenly Father, hear our prayers, may what we ask in faith and hope be granted to us through the love of Christ who lives and reigns for ever and ever. Amen
