Bidding Prayers: 6th Sunday of Easter, 17th May 2020

CELEBRANT

Let us pray to the Lord for the grace to love one another and show our understanding and compassion as we bring our prayers to him.

READER

We pray that the message of hope Pope Francis brings to the world will sustain the Church and help us to trust in Jesus in the knowledge that he is always at our side. Risen Lord hear our prayer

We pray for all government leaders; that they will be filled with God’s spirit of counsel and fortitude to lead with honesty and integrity. May they strive to prioritise the health and well being of those they serve. Risen Lord hear our prayer

We remember vulnerable people with mental health problems especially those in care homes. We pray that they will always receive love and respect from those who care for them and that their carers will receive all the support and help they need. Risen Lord hear our prayer

We pray that during this period of uncertainty and anxiety we will remain positive and optimistic. May we apply common sense and patience during the period of lock down, always mindful of the safety of others in our families and community. Risen Lord hear our prayer

Let us pause for a moment in silence as we bring to the Lord our personal prayers and intentions: Risen Lord hear our prayer

In this month of May we pray to Mary mother of the Church as we say Hail Mary……………………….
