Bidding Prayers: Easter Sunday, 12th April 2020

CELEBRANT

Enlivened by the joy of our Easter Alleluia, we turn to our heavenly Father.

READER:

We pray for the church as it heralds the gospel of life throughout the world; may the Spirit of Christ prepare every heart to receive the good news. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Let us pray for all the baptized; may our participation in Jesus’ paschal mystery inspire us to live more reverently. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

This Easter we continue to pray for all carers and health professionals as they overcome the many challenges they face. We ask for God’s support and blessing as they bring light and hope into the lives of those most vulnerable and at risk. May their courage inspire us to be kinder and more considerate of others. Lord in your mercy

That Christ, Risen from the dead, will bless our country, our Parish, and our families. Lord in your mercy

That oppression, hatred and injustice of every sort may be put to death through the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Lord in your mercy

We pray for all those around the world who have lost their lives and especially as a result of the pandemic, may rise with the Lord, and their families and loved ones be comforted in their loss and grief. Lord in your mercy

For all our personal prayers and those in our book of intentions we pray in a moment of silence...........Pause. Lord in your mercy

Now with Mary, Mother of the Risen Lord we pray..... Hail Mary

CELEBRANT

Loving God, may our gathering at this table of unity fill us with longing for the feast of heaven. We ask that you receive our prayers in the name of the risen Saviour, Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns for ever and ever. Amen.
