Bidding Prayers: Easter Sunday, 17th April 2022

CELEBRANT

Enlivened by the joy of our Easter Alleluia, we turn to our heavenly Father.

READER

We pray for the church as it heralds the gospel of life throughout the world; may the Spirit of Christ prepare every heart to receive the good news. Lord, in your mercy

Let us pray for all the baptized; may our participation in Jesus’ paschal mystery inspire us to live more reverently. Lord, in your mercy

We pray for the poor, the lonely, the homeless and all refugees far from home, that they may be helped and supported by the Christian Family around the World; may no one feel excluded or an outsider but know that the Risen Lord welcomes them through our service and love. Lord in your mercy

That the war in Ukraine, all oppression, hatred and injustice of every sort may be put to death through the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Lord in your mercy

We pray for all those around the world who have died and especially who continue to die as a result of the world pandemic, that they may rise with the Lord and that their families and loved ones be comforted in their loss and grief. Lord in your mercy

That Christ, Risen from the dead, will bless our country, our Parish, and our families. Lord in your mercy

We pause to call to mind our personal prayers and intentions in a moment of silence...........Pause……….  Lord in your mercy

Now with Mary, Mother of the Risen Lord we pray..... Hail Mary
