Tuesday January 11th

ENT. Upon a lofty throne, I saw a man seated, whom a host of angels adore, singing in unison: Behold him, the name of whose empire is eternal.

RESP; My heart exults in the Lord.

Alleluia, alleluia! Accept and submit to the word which has been planted in you and can save your souls. Alleluia!

COM: With you O Lord, is the fountain of life, and in your light we see light.

Wednesday January 12th (St Aelred of Rievaulx)

ENT. Upon a lofty throne, I saw a man seated, whom a host of angels adore, singing in unison: Behold him, the name of whose empire is eternal.

RESP; Here I am Lord! I come to do your will.

Alleluia, alleluia! Let the message of Christ, in all its richness find a home with you; through him give thanks to God the Father Alleluia!

COM: With you O Lord, is the fountain of life, and in your light we see light.

Thursday January 13th (St Hilary of Poitiers)

ENT. Upon a lofty throne, I saw a man seated, whom a host of angels adore, singing in unison: Behold him, the name of whose empire is eternal.

RESP; Redeem us, O Lord, because of your love.

Alleluia, alleluia! Because of your love give me life, and I will do your will. Alleluia!

COM: With you O Lord, is the fountain of life, and in your light we see light.

Friday January 14th

ENT. Upon a lofty throne, I saw a man seated, whom a host of angels adore, singing in unison: Behold him, the name of whose empire is eternal.

RESP; I will sing for ever of your love, O Lord.

Alleluia, alleluia! May the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ enlighten the eyes of our mind, so that we can see what hope his call holds for us. Alleluia!

COM: With you O Lord, is the fountain of life, and in your light we see light.

Saturday  January 15th

ENT. Upon a lofty throne, I saw a man seated, whom a host of angels adore, singing in unison: Behold him, the name of whose empire is eternal.

RESP; O Lord, your strength gives joy to the king

Alleluia, alleluia! Bend my heart to your will, O Lord, and teach me your law Alleluia!

COM: With Blessed is the womb of the Virgin Mary, which bore the Son of the eternal Father.

SECOND WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME

Monday January 17th (St Anthony)

ENT. The just will flourish like the palm tree, and grow like a Lebanon cedar, planted in the house of the Lord, in the courts of the house of our God.

RESP; I will show God’s salvation to the upright.

Alleluia, alleluia! Accept God’s message for what it really is, God’s message, and not some human thinking.  Alleluia!

COM: If you would be perfect, go, sell what you have, give to the poor, and follow me, says the Lord.

Tuesday January 18th +The beginning of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity+

ENT. All the earth shall bow down before you, O God, and shall sing to you, shall sing to your name, O Most high.

RESP; I have fund David, my servant.

Alleluia, alleluia! Open my eyes, O Lord, that I may consider the wonders of your law. Alleluia!

COM: You have prepared a table before me, and how precious is the chalice that quenches my thirst.

Wednesday January 19th (St Wulstan)

ENT. All the earth shall bow down before you, O God, and shall sing to you, shall sing to your name, O Most high.

RESP; Blessed by the Lord, my rock

Alleluia, alleluia! The word of God is something alive and active; it can judge secret emotions and thoughts. Alleluia!

COM: You have prepared a table before me, and how precious is the chalice that quenches my thirst.

Thursday January 20th (St Fabian & St Sebastian)

ENT. All the earth shall bow down before you, O God, and shall sing to you, shall sing to your name, O Most high.

RESP; In God I trust: I shall not fear.

Alleluia, alleluia! Your words are spirit, Lord, and they are life: you have the message of eternal life. Alleluia!

COM: You have prepared a table before me, and how precious is the chalice that quenches my thirst.

Friday January 21st St Agnes

ENT. Behold, now she follows the Lamb who was crucified for us, powerful in virginity, modesty he offering, a sacrifice on the altar of chastity.

RESP; Have mercy on me, God, have mercy.

Alleluia, alleluia! Through the Good News God called us to share the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. Alleluia!

COM: The Lamb who is at the centre of the throne will lead them to springs of the water of life.

Saturday January 22nd  (St Vincent) Mass of Our Lady

ENT. All the earth shall bow down before you, O God, and shall sing to you, shall sing to your name, O Most high.

RESP; Let your face shine on us, O Lord and we shall be saved.

Alleluia, alleluia! God in Christ was reconciling the world to himself, and he has entrusted to us the news that they are reconciled. Alleluia!

COM: With Blessed is the womb of the Virgin Mary, which bore the Son of the eternal Father.
