Day Fifty two: Monday 11th May 2020

Around 20 people gathered on the front law yesterday at 12 Noon to pray the Rosary: all kept to social distancing. It was good to pray together but it was also good to be together. There was something very moving of people seeing each other for the first time in a long time and a general sense of relief to see others again, even people you may very well only nod to on a Sunday. Amidst everything that is going on we should not underestimate the necessity for sharing with others in a social way, be it family, friends, work colleagues, neighbours, even strangers and fellow parishioners, it can bring the best out of us and sometimes the worse; Even so we need it. For my part it really was a shot in the arm! I look forward to doing it again next Sunday at 12 Noon.
