What a scorcher today, another promised then a weekend of thunder storms. You would not believe the different summer outfits that pass by my office window, both on legs and wheels! It is a parade of the most up to date fashions and the pairs of shorts and tee shirts that have been in the bottom draw for the past fifteen years, everything seems to be getting an airing: it is wonderful to see and enjoy and perhaps a sign that things are slowly coming back to normal. However I also note that hot weather can bring the worse out of us, especially with drink; a local street party no doubt being enjoyed by many finished up with two dead. The virus has not gone away and we need to be responsible about the well being of others, and especially our wonderful carers who have gone beyond the call of duty and truly deserve a break. Please don’t risk everything on a selfish binge, enjoy yourselves, be sensible and safe.
