Day One hundred & forty two: Sunday 9th August 2020

Listening to today’s Gospel should ask us to ponder the number of times when the Lord has not only pulled us to safety by pulling us out of the water, but sometimes by pulling us out of the billowing water by the scruff of our neck. As I mentioned in today’s homily: Faith doesn’t save us from trials and a tribulations, what it does is give us the strength to face them. The person who has faith has a source of strength and inspiration especially when trouble strikes. It’s not me who keeps the faith; it’s the faith that keeps us. Now that is something! A something that just may be the answer why I can lose the plot! It was Gandhi who said

“A Person with a grain of faith in God never loses hope.”
