What is going on? The R Rate is rising as infections are reaching new levels, many young people are being affected. Is it because of Fresher’s week, suddenly here in Manchester over 30000 students are back in the Community and like all young people they like to mix. Some Halls of residence are locked down and are in need of food parcels and wondering if they will ever get out again! Perhaps this is a moment of reflection, a time to think things through. For many people what the students are experiencing now is what they have been experiencing over the last six months so rather than this being a time of panic and negativism, let it be a time for solidarity; at long last we could find ourselves on a level playing field with all the players playing the same game; now is the time for progress to move forward together and see off this pandemic.
