Day Three hundred and nineteen: Tuesday 2nd February 2021

Sad news today of the death of Captain Sir Tom, who captured the spirit of the Nation by his simple service to do the right thing. He is living proof to each and every one of us to never underestimate the impact we can have or the talents that are waiting to show themselves within us. For who would have thought that a 100 year old pensioner, who had already served his country in war, could get his walking boots on again and start marching each day to help the NHS and raise such an incredible amount of money and lift the hearts of a troubled Nation? Well done good and faithful servant! Some of his beautiful last words are an inspiration too, “If tomorrow is my last day, it will be a good one……I’ll see everyone I’ve ever loved” Amen to that: rest in peace.
