Bidding Prayers: 12th Sunday in Ordinary Time, 25th June 2023

CELEBRANT

Jesus tells us: ”Do not be afraid.” There are many who are fearful and whose courage has faltered. Today we remember those who are vulnerable and in need of support and care and invite you to pray especially for them.

READER

May Pope Francis and all leaders of our Church guide us to be a people who seek the strength and courage of Jesus and through this help others to be strengthened by faith and the love of God. Lord hear us

We continue to pray for those people throughout the world engaged in life changing projects. Missionaries, field workers, medical specialists, engineers and agricultural workers to name a few whose bravery overcomes many challenges. May they be blessed in all their work as they bring light and hope to the most vulnerable. Lord hear us

We pray for all members of our community. May we understand that, in moments of doubt and uncertainty, Jesus walks with us. We are never alone and, by our care and concern, may others know that they too are cared for and loved. Lord hear us

Help us to recognise the needs of others in our lives be it family members, friends, neighbours and colleagues. May we be willing to support where we are able and always generous in providing time to listen and pray for those who need our care. Lord hear us

Let us pause for a moment in silence as we bring to the Lord our personal prayers and those presented today in our Parish Book of Intentions…………… Lord hear us

We turn to Our Lady of Perpetual Help for her guidance and care as we pray; Hail Mary ……………….

CELEBRANT

Heavenly Father, you care for us from the first moment of our being, let us always know your love and help. We make these and all our prayers through Christ our Lord Amen
