Bidding Prayers: 13th Sunday in Ordinary Time, 2nd July 2023

CELEBRANT

United in one Church and, one family of Christ, we place our petitions before God our Father who fills us with hope and love.

READER

We remember in our prayers the two great Apostles, St Peter and St Paul, patron saints of Rome and cornerstones on which our Church was built. We give thanks today for our own parish community and pray that we will continue to be strong in our faith and devotion to the word of God. Lord hear us

We pray for those who face persecution or discrimination for upholding their faith, grant them courage and freedom to openly practise their religion and spread the word of the gospel through the example set in their own lives. Lord hear us

We give thanks for our families and the many blessings they bring to enrich and support our lives. We pray for families that are currently experiencing challenge and struggle with finances and relationships, may they receive the help and support they need. Lord hear us

Jesus says “Anyone who welcomes you welcomes me.” May our community always have a welcoming spirit where we are willing to support each other. Help our actions and thoughtfulness however small make a difference to the lives of others. Lord hear us

Let us pause for a moment in silence as we bring to the Lord our personal prayers and those presented today in our Parish Book of Intentions……….. Lord hear us

We ask Mary our mother to protect and guide us as we pray;
Hail Mary……………..

CELEBRANT

Almighty and ever-loving God, we ask you to listen to our prayers and grant us healing and comfort through Christ our Lord Amen
