Bidding Prayers: 21st Sunday in Ordinary Time, 27th August 2023

CELEBRANT

Turning to the Lord who is mercy and love, let us place all our trust in Him as we pray for our needs and the needs of the world.

READER

We bring before our Heavenly Father the life of our Church community here in Burnage. We give thanks for the many blessings this brings to our lives and we pray that we will always be faithful members. Lord in your mercy

We pray for people across the world that have recently been affected by natural disasters and the effect of climate change. Once out of the news headlines we trust that their needs will not be forgotten and that they will receive the help and support they need to rebuild their lives and communities. Lord in your mercy

We give thanks for the love and care of our families. Help us to appreciate them and work hard to overcome any problems that exist. May our families always be a source of love, support and hope for the future. Lord in your mercy

We pray for all young people who have recently received their examination results. May they be guided on a successful path to future learning whereby they can realise their true potential. As they embark on the next stage of their lives may they know the love of God and feel him ever beside them. Lord in your mercy

Let us pause for a moment in silence as we bring to the Lord our personal prayers and those presented today in our parish book of intentions………. Lord in your mercy

We ask Mary our mother to watch over and guide us as we say; Hail Mary……………….
