Bidding Prayers: 31st Sunday in Ordinary Time, 30th October 2022

CELEBRANT

Jesus entered the home of Zacchaeus the sinner and brought salvation and healing. He offers the same gift to us as he enters our hearts and so with confidence and trust we bring our prayers to him.

READER

We pray that the Church will offer great opportunities for people of all ages to encounter and share the love of Christ. May those who are estranged from regular attendance be encouraged and inspired to renew and refresh their relationship with God our Father. Lord in your mercy hear our prayer

We pray for all the delegates of nations gathering in Egypt for COP27. We pray for the making of decisions which will meet the urgent climate crisis that is damaging our world and threatening the well-being and even survival of future generations. Guide us all in learning how to respond to this crisis in our own lives. Lord in your mercy hear our prayer

In the wake of recent knife crimes committed in our city we pray for the victims, their families and loved ones.  May conflict be resolved with peaceful outcomes that do not endanger the lives of individuals and create a culture of crime and fear. Lord in your mercy hear our prayer
