Bidding Prayers: 3rd Sunday of Lent, 12th March 2023

CELEBRANT

We bring our prayers before our loving Father, confident that he understands our needs and brings hope and love into our lives.

READER

May the message of peace that our Holy Father Pope Francis shares with the world, inspire spiritual healing and an end to bloodshed in the war- torn areas of the world, where violence and escalating use of weapons threatens the lives of innocent and vulnerable people. Lord in your mercy

We remember those who are currently struggling with household expenses, employment insecurity and low pay. May they receive the support and help they need to ensure that they are able to care for their families. Lord in your mercy

In the Gospels we hear how Jesus healed all forms of sickness. Help us, through our love and care of the sick, reflect God’s presence and care for them. We remember especially those working in care homes and ask for God’s blessing, granting them patience and understanding in the challenges they face. Lord in your mercy

We ask that during this Lenten season we may take the opportunity to develop our own faith through reconciliation and forgiveness and to open our hearts and minds to new beginnings. We ask for God’s blessing and help with relationships that are difficult and painful. Lord in your mercy

Let us pause for a moment in silence as bring to the Lord our personal prayers and those presented today in our parish book of intentions………….. Lord in your mercy

We ask Mary our mother and constant guide and protection to bring us hope and healing as we pray; Hail Mary………………………
