Bidding Prayers: 3rd Sunday of Lent, 20th March 2022

CELEBRANT

We bring our prayers before our loving father, confident that he understands our needs and brings hope and love into our lives.

READER

May the message of peace that our holy father Pope Francis shares with the world inspire spiritual healing and an end to bloodshed in Ukraine and other war-torn areas where violence threatens people’s lives. Lord in your mercy

We pray that negotiations between Ukraine and Russia will lead to a quick and just resolution so that the Ukrainian people can once again feel safe and secure in their homeland. We remember especially those refugees that have been forced to leave their country in search of safety. Grant them hope for the future and the care and kindness of strangers. Lord in your mercy

We remember all those who are currently struggling with household expenses and employment insecurity. May they receive the support and help they need to ensure they are able to care for their families. Lord in your mercy

We ask that during this Lenten season we may take the opportunity to develop our own faith through reconciliation and forgiveness and to open our hearts and minds to new beginnings. We ask for God’s blessing and help with relationships that are difficult and painful. Lord in your mercy

Let us pause for a moment in silence as we bring to the Lord our personal prayers and intentions………………. Lord in your mercy

We ask Mary our mother Queen of peace to bring hope and healing to us as we pray; Hail Mary……………………………….
