Bidding Prayers: 2nd Sunday of Lent, 13th March 2022

CELEBRANT

Loving Lord, you are truly our light and our salvation. Help us to make sense of the world and live by the values you have taught us. May we show compassion and love to those in need. We come before you with open hearts always trusting and loving you.

READER

We pray for our Holy Father Pope Francis and al religious leaders, that they will inspire and cultivate hope and courage in people who are afraid and uncertain about the future. Lord in your mercy

We pray that all governments will come together in peace and genuine dialogue to serve the interests and well being of people most in need. May they use their power to bring about lasting peace. Lord in your mercy

We pray for families in the Ukraine that are torn apart, as mothers, wives and children flee the country, leaving fathers and husbands and sons behind. May the Holy Spirit bring them courage and safe passage. Help them never to lose hope that they will be reunited. Lord in your mercy

We give thanks for the compassion and care that has been shown Ukrainian refugees by neighbouring countries. May this concern for others welfare inspire us to be generous and kind to those in need. Lord in your mercy

Let us pause for a moment in silence as we bring to the Lord our personal prayers and intentions……………….. Lord in your mercy

We ask our mother Queen of peace to guide and support us as we pray; Hail Mary…………………………………
