Bidding Prayers: 4th Sunday of Easter, 30th April 2023

CELEBRANT

God our Father gave us his Son to be the Good Shepherd who calls us to follow him to the springs of living water, where we may experience the fullness of life. Let us bring our prayers to him with confidence.

READER

We pray for vocations that the future of the Church may be strengthened by the faith and hope of those currently training for the priesthood and the religious life. Grant them every blessing as they bring the light of Christ into the lives of those they serve. May they inspire other young people to follow their example. Risen Lord: hear our prayer

Remembering the Good Shepherd who leads us to places of safety, let us pray for people across the world whose lives are threatened by violence, war and injustice that they may find security and peace. We remember especially the innocent civilians caught up in the Sudanese conflict. Risen Lord: hear our prayer

We pray for all those who have wandered away from the Good Shepherd that once again they will hear his voice and understand God’s love and mercy. Risen Lord: hear our pray

We pray for those who feel marginalised and overlooked in our society and trust that they may discover hope, appreciation and the care of their local community. Help us to respond to the needs of others in our own lives.
Risen Lord: hear our prayer

Let us pause for a moment in silence as we bring to the Lord our personal prayers and those presented today in our Parish book of Intentions……………. Risen Lord: hear our prayer

We ask our blessed mother Mary to watch over, guide and support us as we pray; Hail Mary………………

CELEBRANT

God our Father, help us always to listen to the voice of the Good Shepherd and with him reach out in love to those most in need. We make our prayers through the same Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
