Bidding Prayers: 3rd Sunday of Easter, 23rd April 2023

CELEBRANT

Gathered in the presence of our almighty Father, we pray with confidence for the needs of the Church and the world.

READER

We pray for all Church leaders that they may inspire us to be a people of hope, retaining a vision of a just and peaceful world, for future generations. Risen Lord; hear our prayer.

As we recognise God’s presence in the breaking and sharing of bread, may our eyes be opened to seeing the importance of sharing our bounty with the poorest and most vulnerable communities across the world.
Risen Lord hear; our prayer.

We pray for all those working in local government and especially those involved in the forthcoming elections. May they work with compassionate care and concern for the people they are called to serve especially the most vulnerable in our local community. Risen Lord hear;  our prayer.

We pray that we may appreciate the importance of forgiveness and the power of the sacrament of reconciliation in our lives. Help us to repair damaged relationships and bring us to greater understanding of those we know and love. Risen Lord; hear our prayer.

Let us pause for a moment in silence as we bring to the Lord our personal prayers and those presented today in our Parish book of Intentions………………. Risen Lord; hear our prayer.

We ask Mary our mother to bring peace and hope into our lives as we pray; Hail Mary…………….
