Bidding Prayers: 8th Sunday in Ordinary Time, 27th February 2022

CELEBRANT

Let us bring our prayers to our loving Father, who understands and responds to all our needs.

READER

We ask that Pope Francis is granted strength and protection as he works for dignity, justice and peace for all nations. We pray that his voice will be heard by a world that can easily overlook the rights of the underprivileged and vulnerable. Lord in your mercy

We pray for peace in the Ukraine and all violence will stop: we remember those who are at the heart of negotiations. Give courage and strength to innocent people who yearn for safety and security and peace. Lord in your mercy

We remember those who work to safeguard children. We pray that strategies will be identified to support the future safety and well being of young people and ensure they grow up in secure and loving environments. Lord in your mercy

We remember all those who are facing difficulties and uncertainty in their employment. We pray that they will find fulfilment in their work and financial stability to support themselves and their families. Lord in your mercy

Let us pause for a moment in silence as we bring to the Lord our personal prayers and intentions……………. Lord in your mercy

We ask Mary, Queen of Peace to watch over and guide us as we pray; Hail Mary……

CELEBRANT

Father, we place all our hope in you, and know that that we will find in you a place of safety and rest. Receive these prayers and all our concerns that you alone know. We ask this through Christ our Lord Amen
