Bidding prayers: All Souls, 2nd November 2020

CELEBRANT

The light of Christ’s resurrection reveals the immensity of God’s mercy.  Let us pray that our faith in God’s mercy and love be fortified.

Response: Hear our Prayer, have mercy

READER

When we grieve the loss of those we love, we ask:

When we invoke the saving death of Christ for any who are still deprived of your eternal light, we ask:

When we call on your mercy for those who have died without the consolation of baptism, we ask:

When death is caused by human malice and anger robs us of peace, we ask:

When our faith in your providential care is challenged, we ask:

When terminal illness signals that our earthly pilgrimage is coming to an end, we ask:

When our only consolation is the hope of seeing you face to face, we ask:

We commend all our loves ones living and dead to the intercession of our Blessed Lady: Hail Mary..

CELEBRANT

God, rich in compassion, hear our prayers for those who have died.  Sustain your pilgrim people in the hope that your promise of mercy reaches all humanity.  We ask this through Christ Jesus, the first-born of all the dead.
