Bidding Prayers: Feast of Christ the King, 26th November 2023

CELEBRANT

Christ’s rule in our lives brings us peace and freedom. With confidence we turn to our Heavenly Father with all our needs as we celebrate the Feast of Christ the King.

READER

We pray for the Church and especially for those in positions of authority among God’s people, that they may be inspired by the power and love of Christ’s kingship. Lord in your mercy

We pray for world leaders that they may recognise that authority comes from God and to use their power and influence to serve the best interests of the people and communities they represent. Lord in your mercy

We ask for God’s blessing on all who are sick; May they know the comfort and healing of Christ. We pray especially for all NHS workers who are challenged by rising health needs and a lack of trained staff and resources, grant them continued strength and courage to overcome the difficulties they face. Lord in your mercy

We remember our young people especially those suffering with mental health issues; May they recognise that Christ is their loving king. We pray that they will grow in peace and freedom and receive the help and support they need to build secure futures. Lord in your mercy

Let us pause for a moment in silence as we bring to the Lord our personal prayers and those presented today in our Parish Book of Intentions…………… Lord in your mercy

We ask Mary our mother to watch over and guide us as we pray; Hail Mary……

CELEBRANT

Heavenly Father we bring these and all our prayers to you. We ask you to be our constant guide especially in times of challenge and stress as we place our trust, hope and love in you through Christ our Lord. Amen
