Day Fifty eight: Sunday 17th May 2020

Over 40 people joined together to say the Rosary today, well spread out over garden, paths and car park. Perhaps it demonstrates again that we need to feel the company of others not only in the flesh but also in prayer. This is mental health awareness week, can our charity reach out in prayer to those who struggle in normal times let alone in what we are going through at this present time. Mental illness is something we don’t like to talk about, for there is still a stigma attached as though it were some personal and private illness that you just have to put up with. Thanks be to God, we are beginning to live in more enlightened times, when we recognise that it is a very thin line between healthy and unhealthy living, and if we are honest most of us have come close or just wandered over the line. So no more hiding away, let’s face it, and be a source of strength and listening to those who need it.
