Day Forty five: Monday 4th May 2020

Perhaps it’s time to rediscover the Christian trait of resignation; that is not to opt out but to accept and move on. Many of the inner battle of life are because we cannot let go, we don’t want to let go, we are afraid to let go. The problem is that the older we get the more baggage we find ourselves carrying and because of the years passed it become very difficult to move on. The gift of resignation allows us to put everything into the hands of the Lord; we surrender to him all our pain, anxiety, the troubles of the past, the things that have blinded us, and he lifts us up, he renews us, he sets us free. Perhaps it’s the reason why the hymn Amazing Grace is so popular as we sing “I was blind but now I see…..”
