The Assumption
At the heart of summer comes this wonderful feast day to celebrate the Assumption of our Blessed Lady, which gives us an apt reminder to where our faithful Christian lives will lead us into the presence of Almighty God, when we will see him face to face. I think the quote I used from Caryll Houslander this morning at Mass sums up this feast day:
”The one thing that she(Our Lady) did and does is the one thing that we all have to do, namely to bear Christ into the world, Christ must be born from every soul, formed in every life.”
It is a challenge, but with Our Lady’s help will lead us to glory.
