Day One hundred & forty eight: Saturday 15th August 2020

I see that our local lockdown continues and some areas have actually got worse. Perhaps we can blame it on the weather as it has been too good to stay in and on the fact people are really fed up with their own company. Apparently Manchester City Centre was back to its worse last night as the pubs and clubs exploded onto the streets, and our poor ambulance personal and police were run off their feet. I would love to go into Manchester and like many have not been in since March, but I still have that nagging doubt about safety, and especially with so many people out there really not bothered. It’s a shame that many of the new infections are in the 25-30 bracket, and you wonder is it all worth it to risk infection and the possible consequences? Unlike what you see in films, no one is indestructible, and many who have been infected face long term health complications. That is why it is so important to keep safe.
