September is traditionally the month of Our Lady of Sorrows; it is also the month when we celebrate her Birthday and later we celebrate the feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. It is undoubtedly a month when we realise life can only be complete when we embrace all that life brings. We cannot dodge the reality of life; as soon as we try to we seemed to be more weighed down than ever. The Cross is as much a part of life as is joy and happiness. Sometimes those gifts only come after we have had to embrace the cross for a while in our lives. This month let us pray each day for anyone who is finding life difficult at this time, that peace and tranquillity will be theirs and that they will have the courage and the support to keep going.
