Day Seventy six: Thursday 4th June 2020

The case of little Madeleine McCann is back in the news again, this time it looks as though at long last there may be some answers for her parents, we wait and see. To a certain extent the Covid-19 virus has taken over our lives, we should not forget that the World keeps on turning and day follows day. It is truly amazing how many people, adults and children just disappear each year. Usually they are just popping out to do some ordinary every day task and never return; some fall into the hands of villains others just never come home. For every person missing there is a family and perhaps a group of friends constantly waiting for News, hoping to hear the key turn in the lock, or just praying for a phone call to hear they are safe. The McCann story is so sad and our hearts go out to them; but we also recognise their pain is shared by so many other families who are just waiting for news. A kindness would be to put these families and the lost in to our prayer cycle, so they know they are not forgotten. May the Good Shepherd lead their loved ones home.
