Looking up to see the Lord going back to heaven must have been devastating to the Apostles, they probably did not put it all together, so much must have been going through their heads, little did they know that this was going to be the start of something that would turn the world upside down? They are sent off back to Jerusalem to wait and pray, and together with other disciples and our Blessed Lady we find them in the upper room again. What must she have thought? How did she feel? Could she encourage them? Could she mother them? As at Cana could she have simply prayed “They don’t have an idea”? Like them we must wait a little longer, and in this month of May we have the blessing of knowing we are not on our own, Our Lady waits with us.
