The second Station: Jesus is takes up his Cross
We adore thee O Christ and we praise thee because by thy Holy Cross thou hast redeemed the world.
Rough, heavy, burdensome, brutal, sadly the Cross cannot be avoided and Jesus sets to, and with it carries the whole world.
Let us pray for those who are finding the cross a terrible burden; those who can see only disaster, who think it’s unfair, that someone else should have it, who avoid it, who are completely weighed down by it, are feeling crushed by it. That they will learn when we trust the Lord, the burden becomes lighter. Lord have Mercy, Lord have Mercy
