News comes today of various attacks on Black football players on social media, insulting, degrading, offensive and disgraceful. What are people like when they take time to write such hurtful and destructive things? We really do need to grow up as a Nation and fully understand, that is completely and utterly wrong to judge a person by their skin colour or gender or culture or religion. We are not a people who subscribe to Orwell’s statement in Animal Farm,”All men are equal but some are more equal than others” for we believe that all people are equal, each one a beautiful creation of God, each one deserving respect, affirmation, understanding, tolerance and love; for it is only then when we fully realise our Blessed Lord’s command to “Love one another as he has loved us.”
