The eighth Station: The women of Jerusalem mourn for Our Lord
We adore thee O Christ and we praise thee because by thy Holy Cross thou hast redeemed the world.
There are some who carry sadness in their hearts all the time, they have not been able to cope with grief, they cannot let go. Perhaps they mourn for a lost child, a husband or wife suddenly taken, a marriage broken, a job lost, eviction from a home, there is so much, there are so many broken hearts that need to be loved from darkness into light. In this Station, let’s remember all in difficulty and like the Women here try to be a comfort. Lord have mercy, Lord have mercy.
