Day Three hundred and twenty four: Sunday 7th February 2021

I hear that there has been trouble at our local Café today, with the involvement or protesters, police and council enforcers. It must be very difficult for small businesses to survive during the Lockdown, and I know that our Café has been providing pickup meals that many of our Parishioners have taken advantage of, but it appears they went to the next stage and opened for normal business, which is against national guidelines. I am sorry for their predicament and I hope that there jumping the gun opening won’t end in them being completely shut down by the authorities. What is important is to maintain the social distancing rules and to wear a mask in public, without this we wouldn’t be able to have Mass; I just hope that no one was infected at the Café earlier today.
