It’s very strange today no Chrism Mass and no people at the Mass of the Lord’s Supper. Yet the theme of both shine out and that is Service: The priest to serve his people and each of us to serve one another. As Teresa of Avila reminds us “we can pray and find God among the pots and pans of the kitchen”; in other words don’t think you have to do something fantastic, but rather understand it is in the simple and small things of life that you find yourself along with Jesus, washing the feet of his disciples. It’s Thursday again, lets gather to applaud all the Carers and key workers at 8pm; giving thanks that they are washing the feet of the needy and the sick.
