In these difficult times we need keep hope alive and hope infers trust: letting our hearts burn within us as the two disciples experienced on the road to Emmaus can cause us to break through any difficulty. Our own St Bernard wrote this, words you may recall: “Jesus the very thought of Thee With sweetness fills my breast; But sweeter far Thy face to see, And in Thy presence rest.” Take a moment to rest in his presence, let Him see you face to face.
