Bidding Prayers: 30th Sunday in Ordinary Time, 29th October 2023

CELEBRANT

Each day we are faced with choices to respond to our wants and desires or to the needs of others. As members of a community of faith, let us ask the Lord to help us to follow in his way of self -sacrifice and humble service.

READER

We pray that all church leaders will share their knowledge and understanding of the message of the Gospel to enable us to live the values that will make positive changes to our lives. Lord hear us

As violence and bloodshed continues in the Holy Land and Ukraine we continue to pray for peace and reconciliation. We remember especially the innocent civilian victims caught up in the conflict and hope that they will soon receive the humanitarian support required for their survival. Lord hear us

We pray for the sick. May they receive the help and care they require to live a life that is comfortable and secure. We remember especially the carers of our own community and ask for God’s blessing in all that they do. Lord hear us

We pray for ourselves and for all those we know and love, that God our Father may guide our thoughts, words and actions at every moment of our lives especially when we feel challenged and uncertain in our daily work and relationships with our family and friends. Lord hear us

Let us pause for a moment in silence as we bring to the Lord our personal prayers and those presented today in our Parish Book of Intentions …………………… Lord hear us

In this month of the Holy Rosary we ask Mary our mother Queen of Peace to guide and protect us as we pray; Hail Mary………
