Day One hundred & twenty five: Thursday 23rd July 2020

Going back some weeks: a reminder that no man is an island: The need to know and feel the presence of real people has become essential as we observe  others trying to sneak out of their bubble to meet up with them; have we discovered that social media is not the answer to building true and lasting relationships? Do you think we can rediscover the beauty of really enjoying true lasting friendship and relationships that go beyond a man made fantasy world and roots us firmly on our beautiful earth here and now? Pope Francis shares this with us,

“Christ redeemed the whole person, and he wishes to restore in each of us the capacity to enter into relationship with others. The Gospel proposes the divine charity welling up in the heart of Christ and generating a pursuit of justice that is at once a hymn of fraternity and of solidarity, an impetus to the culture of encounter.”

That’s it in a nutshell the culture of encounter can help us unravel the knots we seem to have tied ourselves up in.
