One of the side effects of the Coronavirus is the need to protect jobs, and the recent loss of jobs seems to indicate only the tip of the iceberg is being seen so far! I have recently been involved in the short listing process for a job; I was shocked to see that 90 people had applied for it. This Virus not only is affecting health it is also attacking wellbeing and human dignity, and people are not only frightened of catching it but losing their jobs and all that that means for them and their families and dependents. It’s therefore important to place this special intention on our prayer list, for goodness knows where this is all going to lead and the terrible devastation which may be visited on our loved ones. It is right and proper to invoke the intercession of St Joseph, patron of Workers.
