Day One hundred & thirty five: Sunday 2nd August 2020

As August opens up it has been lovely to see some of our Parishioners at Mass today who have been shielding for the past few months: we also remember those still at home and keeping safe. It is a fitting reminder to us that as many people who have been out of circulation for a considerable amount of time are just about to dip their toe back into the life cycle, that others through their selfishness and lack of consideration are making it so difficult for the rest that a “major incident” has been declared in Manchester. Sadly the understanding of the many is turning to anger and disbelief that people are willing to take such risk after all the sadness and tragedy we have lived through and the outstanding and exhausting response of our local NHS. If you have any influence please keep reminding people to stay safe and healthy and to keep to the social distancing rules. Once more in this Lourdes week, let’s ask Our Blessed Mother to pray the protection and well being of all.
