Bidding Prayers: 4th Sunday of Lent, 14th March 2021

CELEBRANT

Heavenly Father, creator of all that is good, we bring our prayers joyfully before you knowing your presence in our lives is the source of our happiness and peace.

READER

We pray for all mothers and women who have care of children and family members. May Mary’s prayers always uphold and strengthen them especially in times of hardship and family crisis. Help us to demonstrate our loving support and appreciation of mothers not only on this day of celebration but throughout the year. Lord in your mercy

We celebrate the safe return of Pope Francis from his historic bridge-building journey to Iraq. We pray that his willingness to engage in dialogue with the leaders of other religions will create stepping- stones to lasting peace. Lord in your mercy

We give thanks for the brighter and more positive moments we have experienced over the last 12 months perhaps the unexpected kindness of a stranger. We pray for the many unsung heroes and heroines of the pandemic; may God bless them for their courage, generosity and compassion. Lord in your mercy

We remember and celebrate all new life this springtime especially those families expecting a new baby. We pray that Mary will inspire and protect them at this crucial time. Lord in your mercy

Let us pause for a moment in silence as we bring to the Lord our personal prayers and intentions………………. Lord in your mercy

We ask Mary our mother to guide and inspire us as we pray; Hail Mary……

CELEBRANT

Lord God, fill us with your love and peace. May we feel your presence alongside us every day as we journey through this season of Lent. We make this prayer through Christ our lord. Amen
